Thompson Turner Construction was hired by Lake City to complete the National Bean Market and the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Life History Center renovations as well as the new construction of Village Green under the CM At-Risk delivery method. The National Bean Market project consisted of the conversion of a historic building into a multipurpose community center at the heart of downtown Lake City. The historic building hosts the town’s weekly farmer’s market during spring and summer months. The building has been completely restored to serve as an attractive and modern venue for conferences, weddings, and other events. The new construction of the 36,372 SF Village Green features a 750 SF performance stage for outdoor concerts. Beneath Village Green lies 65 geothermal wells that power the town’s surrounding buildings through modern sustainable design. LEED Certified project. The renovation of the circa 1950 Lake City Library, now named the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Life History Center, celebrates the life and accomplishments of Dr. Ronald E. McNair, the Challenger astronaut and Lake City native, through exhibits related to his history both in the local community and at NASA. In addition, the center features a public amphitheater and community room.

At Thompson Turner, we are a family.
