Extensive Phased Renovation and Addition
Thompson Turner Construction was commissioned by Berkeley County School District to provide Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) services for the extensive phased renovation and addition of the existing 115,071 SF Cross High School.
The high school has an enrollment of 285 students in grades 7th though 12th. The scope of the project consisted of expanding the auditorium into the existing media center and relocating the media center to an area that is assessable to the local community. Also included in the project was a face lift and reconfiguration to the locker rooms adjacent to the gym to accommodate the visitor team within the current space. The current space includes locker rooms, storage rooms, and coaches’ offices. Thompson Turner Construction completed the renovations while the facility was occupied by staff and students, successfully with minimal interruption of everyday school classes and activities.
